Things and Stuff

So I haven't done anything on here for a while, mainly because I was getting ready for my first craft fair.
Then things changed at home and it's been a challenging month! I've had commissions and I'm very happy about that but life has got in the way of crochet. I am slowly getting back to it.

Long time gone....

So I've been away for a while due to lack of internet. Things are resolved and I am back. I will, in the next week or so out up more photos and if anyone is interested I shall try to put some patterns up.

I do have a habit of going along and seeing what happens rather than writing it down!

Christmas was lovely and during my break from work I made a scarf and hat. The scarf from a pattern in a book, the hat I made to fit in amigurumi style and it fits no-one else but me ^-^. I've also made three pairs of slippers so my fingers have been fairly busy.

I'm planning to make some more SackBoys but haven't decided what colours or characters yet, we shall see.

Christmas stuff

So... now I'm making some stuff for Christmas. Sweet little bunnies and cats in festive colours. I've sold one already but things are slow at the moment. I've had a couple of custom orders, one for my niece and one for a friend. I'm quietly impressed with myself as the latter is Echo from Ben 10 and I've had to push my understanding of increases and decreases to achieve the result I want and it seems to be working :)
I will hopefully be setting up a website to sell my work in a few weeks, hopefully that will generate a little more interest :)

The ring cushion was for one of my longest and best friends, Donna Mills (aka LadyTwiglet). She had a joint Zombie wedding in Manchester on November 1st. It was a long day but fantastic! The pattern isn't mine, but I did adapt it a little by using two strands of DK to achieve a chunky size thus making the heart larger. If anyone recognizes the pattern, thank you so much!

Yea so....I thought I 'd give this a go, if only to show my darling little amigurumi off!
I've been doing some form of craft since I was little and I'm always looking out for something new to try.
Please don't expect anything flashy from me when it comes to technology...I can barely edit my own photos! Give me some sort of thread and an implement to knot it with and I'm happy.
